Is your child bright but struggling…

Academically?

Academic challenges with literacy, reading, comprehension, narrative development, and/or written expression are often caused by foundational gaps in speech and/or language. Many parents don’t realize this until their children are in school, when they begin to have difficulty reading their books, understanding them and writing reports and summaries. These difficulties can show up in grades Kindergarten through 6, depending upon the severity and nature of the underlying auditory processing or speech/language gaps. At Jodie K. Schuller & Associates, we identify and target these foundational gaps (rather than the band-aid approach of tutoring), so that your children can be academically successful today, tomorrow, and for their brightest futures. If you, your child’s teacher, and/or your child’s medical provider has expressed concern that your child may be behind in reading, comprehension or written expression, click below for a “free phone consultation” with Jodie K. Children with speech/ language deficits often have difficulty interacting with others, engaging in social situations, maintaining conversation (or topic), and establishing/ maintaining friendships. At Jodie K. Developmentally?

Each child develops at a slightly different rate; however, there are warning signs that could signify that your child could be struggling with developmental gaps in speech and language. Children who are not talking by age 2 are warning us of a potential problem.  We are also concerned about children whose speech is difficult to understand and toddlers who are not engaging in imaginary play or interacting appropriately with family and/or friends.   Early intervention could be critical to your child’s future success in school, social interaction and in life! If you, your child’s teacher, and/or your child’s medical provider has expressed concern that your child may be behind in attaining speech/ language developmental milestones, click below for a “free phone consultation” with Jodie K.
