Social Thinking Director
Tessa Floodberg LaPointe, who is born and raised in San Diego, attended the University of Redlands for undergraduate and graduate school. With her Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders, Tessa returned to San Diego to serve the city she has always called home.
With a passion for communication disorders and a love for kids, she found her niche here at Jodie K. Schuller & Associates immediately after graduate school and has been a member of our work family for the past 5 years.
Tessa serves as the Pre-School Director and full-time Speech-Language Therapist for Jodie K. Schuller & Associates. Tessa sees the full gamut of clients in this practice. As Pre-School Director, she arranges the evaluations and treatment for the 18 months to age 5 population. In her role as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Social Thinking Specialist, she conducts therapy for children and adults with comprehension, literacy and social communication issues as well as speech production challenges and tongue thrust.
When she is not working, Tessa enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests such as spending time with her nephews, walking her dog and, most of all, gardening! While out and about, Tessa is always thinking of fun activities and social scenarios to share and incorporate into her social thinking groups as well.
