Jessica FeltonSpeech Language PathologistJessica Felton, a speech-language pathologist, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. After graduating, she went on to be a speech assistant, where she provided treatment to the early childhood population. Her love for children and the profession grew, as did her experience. Feeling confident in her decision to become a speech-language pathologist, she went on to complete her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Central Missouri State University in May 2006. After joining JKS & Associates, Jessica worked as a tutor in the Fast Track to School Success program, where she gained new insight into the process of reading and writing and now looks forward to working with literacy clients as a speech-language pathologist. Jessica has a strong clinical background in treatment and assessment of children in school and clinical settings, including treatment of deficits in expressive and receptive language, phonology, articulation, fluency, and social language. Jessica also has experience with adults in rehabilitative settings including those with cognitive deficits, aphasia, apraxia, and dysarthria. In addition, Jessica has a unique background in treating orofacial myofunctional disorders, as tongue thrusting was the topic of her master’s thesis. |
