Marlisa Borja
Speech Language Pathologist
Marlisa Borja is a California native, having grown up in Cambria on the Central Coast. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State, and continued her education there to receive her Masters Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Marlisa’s professional experiences began with Camp Hapitok (Happy Talk) as an instructional aide for children with communicative disorders. Since then, her horizons have broadened to include: Behavioral Therapist at San Marcos Unified School District, Research Assistant for San Diego State University’s Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory and Vice-President of the National Student Speech, Language and Hearing Association, SDSU Chapter. Marlisa’s work has strengthened her deep commitment to servicing families with children who have communicative disorders.
She joined Jodie Schuller & Associates in May of 2008, where she continues to focus on her expertise in child language and oral motor disorders.
