We offer seminars in the fall and spring. Check back here for dates and times.
Jodie K. Schuller and Associates are now conducting seminars to train parents to teach their children. Some of these seminars will cover phonics acquisition, syllabication and spelling, while others will cover reading comprehension and the writing process. These seminars are normally held in our Del Mar office. However, parent groups may request a custom seminar at their location.
Depending on the seminar, parents will learn to:
- Stimulate phonological awareness, the knowledge of sounds, which enables children to learn phonics
- Teach associations, sound groups (phonograms) and syllabication to increase their children's speed and accuracy as they use phonics to decode and spell
- Facilitate reading comprehension and develop critical thinking skills
- Stimulate the writing process
